We've moved into Marquette Township!

Note: We are a small family business and parents to a young daughter and 2 dogs. We've recently learned the importance of taking our days off seriously. These are typically Monday and Tuesday. We have a great support staff but we handle all initial inquiries ourselves.

Due to the hands on nature of our business it's often hard to answer phone calls in the moment as well so please be patient as we may take longer to respond to phone calls. Texting is great as we can often sneak in a 2 minute message between clients. We value each of you and will get back to you ASAP.

The name TacoMo was adorned to our Training practices to honor our dogs.
See our blog for the story behind TacoMo's name!

​We've already had over 17 years as dog parents. Within those years we've experienced both behavioral and training issues, and we've never understood dogs better than we do now. With each new dog in our lives we've grown together. We've learned how to communicate and respect each other as two different species in one little family. I'm sure you love your dogs too, and that's why we're here. We strive to help families learn the best kind of communication, training and understanding possible so they can grow as we have been able to.
The training we practice at TacoMo is force-free, science and reward based training. We do not use dominance theories in our methods. We believe training should be an enjoyable experience for both dog and human and involve as little aversion as possible in any given situation.
TacoMo Dog Training was established in 2010 after I (Kim) finished my Diploma in Dog Obedience Training & Instructing. (Since then I have completed and maintain my CPDT-KSA certification and Rick has completed his Career Diploma) Over the years we have found so much joy in working with all of the dogs and their families, whether it's basic training or solving behavioral issues.
