Where: Marquette's Lower Harbor/Mattson Park (Main parking lot near the ticket booth.) What: Take a short 1 and a half mile stroll (3/4 mile each direction) from the park down to Founder's Landing and back. Why: To socialize dogs in a controlled manner and for their humans to socialize with fellow like minded dog lovers. We hope you can join us! Pack Walk Checklist/Rules:
Dog has good or manageable behaviors around other dogs. (Or you've worked with us on a good plan to keep your dog comfortable.)
Approved dog equipment consists of a harness or collar (standard or head collar) with a sturdy leash. (We do NOT allow choke, prong, or shock collars in our training and believe these are also not safe for socializing).
Vaccinations and licensing are up to date.
Yellow Bandana for dogs that may benefit from space. If your dog is not a yellow dog PLEASE respect the yellow dog's space!
Treat Pouch optional...Be prepared to make several new furry friends!
We do recommend that there is one walker present per dog. It is not uncommon for one person to have more than one dog and have the ability to control both. When possible we suggest inviting friends to join in on the fun so you can simply enjoy your time better.
You are 100% responsible for your own dog(s) at all times.
