Therapy Dog Training

Considering doing Volunteer Therapy work with your pup?

TacoMo has all the knowledge and experience to assist you!
  • As Leadership Members of our local Pet Partners Community Partnership SuperiorLand Pet Partners (SLPP) we can guide you and your dog through the process of becoming a skilled Dog Therapy Team.
  • Kim is a retired evaluator and current licensed Instructor for Pet Partners; while Rick is currently a licensed Evaluator for Pet Partners. This means we are experts in all the things that will be assessed. (For the best practices we do not personally test teams we've worked with but we have a large group of evaluators in our area through our local community group SuperiorLand Pet Partners).
  • We've been volunteering as therapy animal teams as well as volunteering at every testing event since 2013 which means we are very well versed in the process of each evaluation and what it takes to be a good team.
  • Using positive reinforcement force free techniques to train your dog for therapy work sets them up for the best long term results! In fact, this is also what Pet Partners encourages. How can we help?
  • For Puppies we recommend early socialization via our Puppy Class, Kinderpups or Pack Walks
  • For adult dogs who need to work on their training skills we recommend any of our higher level classes.
  • We can always consult on therapy training via our Personalized Private sessions as well!
